Our Domaine with two separate holiday homes, each with its own private pool, is hidden in the limestone countryside and vineyards of the Minervois an hour from Carcassonne and Beziers airports in the South of France. It lies on the edge of the Haut-Languedoc Parc Naturel and is home to the endangered Bonelli’s eagle, orchids, dormice and other wildlife. Yet, this haven of tranquility is only minutes’ drive from local markets, award winning restaurants, and wineries, and the historic town of Minerve and the Canal du Midi (world heritage site). The larger historic towns of Narbonne (Mediterranean beaches) and Carcassonne are an hour from the house. It is the perfect choice for walking, cycling, horse riding, sightseeing, birdwatching (spring and autumn) or simply relaxing by the pool. See our things to do pages for more detail. Le Grand Duc
Le Grand Duc is a beautiful architect designed 2 storey, 4 bedroom holiday house in a restored stone winery. This luxurious accommodation is the perfect romantic retreat for couples, or a large and fabulous holiday home for families (can accommodate larger parties up to 8+). The house has air-conditioning throughout, a well equipped kitchen and stylish large sitting room with panoramic views, TV & DVD, music center and internet. There are 3 double bedrooms and a fourth bedroom with bunk beds. The master bedroom has its own private bathroom. There are 2 additional shower rooms with toilets for other occupants. The house has a large private terrace with heated pool, outside eating area, sun beds and BBQ.
Le Petit Duc
Le Petit Duc is a recently restored stone built barrel store which offers flexible luxury accommodation for 2 to 5 people in two bedrooms. It is perfect for couples and families. The house has air-conditioning, a well equipped semi subterranean kitchen, first floor sitting room with TV & DVD, music center and Satellite internet and a lovely bathroom. It also has access to its own heated pool with a BBQ and outdoor eating area in the garden straight opposite the house.
The houses can be rented together to accommodate up to 13 people in two adjacent properties with two private pools. Additional accommodation is available in the hamlet.
